Give a node a nickname

This topic explains how to assign nicknames to your theme and case nodes—useful for nodes that you code at frequently in the Quick Coding bar.

What do you want to do?

Understand nicknames

You can use nicknames in the quick coding bar. They are particularly useful for theme or case nodes that have long names—for example perceptions of water quality could be shortened to PWQ. Nicknames must be unique in the project.

Refer to Coding techniques (Using nicknames to speed up coding) for more information about using the Quick Coding bar.
